Go to see a solicitor that handles personal injury cases. Try to find one that handles back injuries frequently. You have three years from the time that you realise that the pain you are in is associated with an employment related injury.

Some solicitors will have you pay for simple things like filing fees and medical reports, but they will not charge you any solicitor fees unless you win your case. When you do win the solicitor will take a percentage of your compensation as their fee. This percentage may be as high as 25 percent.
  5. Ask friends, relatives, and neighbours if they have ever had dealings with the solicitor before. Personal references from people you know often boost the amount of confidence you will have in a solicitor.
